She has swallowed me whole.
Down to her deepest depths
Where I will
Sleep and play
And swim and lay.
Inside her.
As if an angel fish,
I'll gracefully glide
Through the ebb and flow of
Her tides
And undertows.
Provoking her waves to crash and cascade
Onto beaches and shores
Where we'll run and we'll wade.
Her heart,
A tsunami,
Sings mermaid songs
To this sentimental sailor
Who raises his anchor,
Sets course by the stars
Proceeds to set sail
Toward horizons open arms.
For the sun truly sets in the sea.
