Kind of Like Spitting - Discography

some of my fondest memories of high school involve the old warehouse21 arts space. always going to shows, usually touring bands who either now huge on the indie scene or sadly defunct. among such memories, one of my favorites was taking bong rips with ben barnett (the man behind KOLS) in the parking lot across the street from warehouse21. his music was a big part of my teens, and even now in my life. kind of like spitting's songs usually punctuated those tougher times...the points at which it all just seemed too unbearable, being a kid and trying to figure it all out. the moments of (at the time) crushing heartbreak...the death of friends...the falling out of others. but somehow, the music was unifying, too. there were just as many instances where life was good and just going for a drive with friends with "you secretly want me dead" playing on repeat. kind of like spitting is a big deal. for a lot of people. i hope it turns out to be for you, too.
